Load shedding for the week – Here’s the updated schedule

Eskom says it will implement Stage 1 and 4 load shedding alternatively until further notice.

The power utility is currently implementing Stage 1 and 3 rolling blackouts.

LOAD SHEDDING FOR THE WEEK

In a statement, Eskom said Stage 1 would be implemented from 05:00 – 16:00 thereafter, Stage 4 would be implemented until 05:00 on Tuesday, 8 August. This will also be repeated on Wednesday.

LATEST ON BREAKDOWNS

Eskom said a generating unit each at Kendal and Tutuka power stations is yet to return to service after delays but two units each at Kriel and a unit each at Camden and Duvha are back online.

As things stand, 15 050MW of capacity is unavailable due to breakdowns and a further 4 434MW is offline due to planned maintenance.
