Lotto: Health worker wins $500,000 in Clarkson syndicate, left screaming in joy

A health worker was left screaming in joy after winning a whopping $500,000 as part of a Clarkson lotto syndicate.

The lucky winner — a woman in her 50s — is set to buy her dream caravan and tour around Australia following Thursday night’s Powerball win.

“Once I realised I’d won, I ran into the bathroom screaming where my husband was in the shower,” she said.

“He thought something was seriously wrong.

“It feels like I’m dreaming. I kept looking at the ticket to check the numbers again all night.”

A Lotterwest spokesperson said the Powerpik 7 tickets was purchased from the Major Luck Lottery Centre in Clarkson.

Lotto enthusiasts have the chance to take home a Divison One prize on Saturday as $10 million is up for grabs.

It comes as a Set for Life ticket sold in Bassendean last month awarded one lucky punter with $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.

A WA woman also won a whopping $300,000 on a scratchie in early October.

The Mandurah woman who was at the shops with her daughter at the time, decided to buy a Scratch ‘n’ Win ticket as her daughter wandered away from her at the shops.

That decision led to her huge $300,000 win.
