MCoBeauty releases near-identical Sol de Janeiro body creams for a third of the price of Mecca favourite

Australian makeup and skincare brand MCoBeauty has wowed customers with the release of three body creams that look nearly identical to the $75 Sol de Janeiro body butters.

The brand, well known for crafting “dupes” of popular — but expensive — makeup favourites, mimicked the same packaging, colours and scents to the Mecca bestsellers.

But you can shop these body creams while you do your groceries.

There are three creams to choose from in the range; one tightening, another aimed at “smoothing” out the skin — both of which are $34 — and a $29 cream for everyday brightening.

Each is luxuriously rich and buttery but with real and seemingly long-lasting skincare benefits.

What’s more, they absorb quickly into the skin so you’re not waiting very long to be able to get dressed.

What type of cream you get will depend on what outcome you’re looking for, whether that be brightening or tightening the skin.

Despite only launching last week, there are already a number of shoppers posting about the products online.

“The formula feels a bit thicker but the more you blend it out the more it turns into the same creamy consistency as Sol de Janeiro,” one woman said.

Some said the scents were not quite as pungent as the original $75 options, so they’re better for everyday use.

“Wow that smells the same,” another young woman said. “I think if you layer the body creams with the sprays it will smell exactly the same.”

MCoBeauty recently released matching Sol de Janeiro style fragrance mists so it should come as no surprise that it’s completing the collection with body butters.

They are available at MCoBeauty.com, Woolworths, Chemist Warehouse and Big W stores nationally.
