Mod Black e-bike can ride trails that would destroy most models

After introducing its 2024 e-bike lineup during SXSW 2024, Mod Bikes just unveiled its newest adventure e-bike, the Mod Black. This full-suspension adventure e-bike is a powerhouse that delivers top performance on and off the road.

This bike is equipped with the company’s newest electric system, which includes a powerful 750W hub motor capable of up to 28 mph. This gives it a Class 3 classification, which means it offers the maximum speed you can possibly have while pedaling simultaneously.

The new Mod Black has an all-new torque sensor that transforms pedal strokes into a smooth, powerful ride. Users can also choose between pre-configured riding modes:

  • Fit: Get a workout with a balanced assist
  • Eco: Enjoy longer rides without fatigue
  • Cargo: Designed for efficiency and carrying heavy loads
  • Sport: Stronger assist for cruising at higher speeds
  • Turbo: Experience max acceleration and performance

The Mod Black Samsung UL Certified 48v 15 Amp battery can provide a range of up to 50 miles on a single charge and offers compatibility with a dual battery setup to extend the range up to 100 miles.

What makes this e-bike unique is its compatibility with Snap-On accessories, including a bag or basket (for carrying groceries, for example), a bench seat, or a second battery configuration for an extended adventure. The company says more Snap-On accessories will be launched later this year.

Mod Bikes’ partnership with Lumos makes riding a bike safer than ever

What makes the 2024 Mod Bikes lineup, including this new Mod Black, so enticing is the partnership with Lumos, which introduces a new smart color display that enables riders to synchronize their bikes seamlessly with the company’s ultra-smart helmets. With that, you can:

  • Turn signals: Activate turn signals directly from the bike’s control panel
  • Brake light: Wirelessly sense and mirror bike brake light
  • Auto-off: Automatically turns off the helmet when the bike is powered off.

The new e-bikes, Snap-on accessories, and Lumus helmets are available at the Mod Bikes store. The new Mod Black costs $3,499, but customers can get it during its launch for $2,999.
