Monique Lhuillier RTW Fall 2024 – WWD

Over the summer, Monique Lhuillier opened the doors to her first European flagship in London.

As a result, Lhuillier’s fall collection combined elegant separates (an emphasis on having versatility and diversity for in-store shopping) with subtle, timeless, dressy Lhuillier twists on English fashion.

For instance, striking double-faced wool and cashmere topcoats and an expansion of the brand’s newer knitwear program — a carnation-pink jumper paired with a kick-out tulip skirt, or an easy, monochrome knit dress with bow-tied velvet ribbon belt. Additionally, day dresses and tops came in a sweet floating heart print while a pale pink tuxedo shirt was paired with a high-waisted, wrap skirt and styled with Wellies, as seen through the collection’s look book imagery, photographed at a 17th-century estate in the English countryside.

For evening and occasionwear, Lhuillier mixed in moments of glitz (an emerald strapless gown adorned with 3D florals) with elegant yet youthful monochrome options (spanning from two-piece bow-adorned corset tops with full ball skirts and caped numbers to a sleek one-shoulder jumpsuit and tailored black dresses — an adorable mini covered in pearls).

Known for her florals, Lhuillier offered a handful by way of blown-up hydrangea prints (and large-scale embroideries), which looked great on a two-piece black and light blue crop top and bulbous skirt. To round out the line, she peppered in bejeweled, sculptural necklines, sparkling embroideries and guipure lace across a mix of tailored separates and easy dresses.
