Mum’s face went weird and she was screaming lots…kids pick two best rides at Chessington World of Adventures

THE best ride on our day out at Chessington World of Adventures Resort was Mandrill Mayhem in World of Jumanji.

It went so much quicker than it looked — and it went backwards right at the start. Even though we’d seen it happen while we were queuing, it was still surprising how fast it went.

Then it went upside down and when we looked at our mum’s face it had gone really weird and she was screaming a lot. She wouldn’t put her arms up even though we did.

We loved the whole of Jumanji world as it looked clean and new and it had two other rides we went on.

An Ostrich Stampede that was really bumpy and made us laugh, and then we went on the Mamba Strike ride without our parents and we loved that.

There’s also the Vampire ride, which is one of the fastest. It whips you around the track, and you’re hanging off it, which is so much fun.

We also got to feed some giraffes, which are our dad’s favourite animal.

There were only six of us in the truck and we were driven out to where the giraffes live — and they came and fed out of our hands.

Sometimes they were standing on one side of the truck and their necks were so long they could bend all the way over to the other side to get the food.

We saw sea lions in the zoo, and all sorts of other animals and we could run ahead to look at everything.

It was really nice how there are loads of different worlds, such as Mexicana, Forbidden Kingdom and Tiger Rock where real tigers were lying around while you queued for the log flume.

There is also loads of different kinds of food.

We were too scared to go on Dragon’s Fury rollercoaster, so we’re going to wait until we’re a bit older for that one, but apart from that and Croc Drop — which our mum refused to go on as she was too scared — we could go on every ride we wanted.

Some parks have lots of rides that are too scary or we’re too short for, but at Chessington there was loads we could do.
