Look, as you know, I love travelling. I’ve been banging on about it for a while now. But it’s time to acknowledge that not everything goes right, all the time.

And no, I’m not referring to that “direct” flight to London I took last year that was diverted to Singapore for a medical emergency and caused a bit of a domino effect of cancellations and rescheduled plans. The passenger at the centre of the medical emergency survived, so it was a worthwhile exercise.
