Naughty looking 10in ‘penis fish’ washes up on beach in Argentina

They’re a naughty looking sea creature — and thousands of them have washed up on a beach in Argentina.

A storm in the South American country resulted in 10in “penis fish” filling the shore of a beach in Multillar.

The lewd-looking worms, identified as urechis unicinctus, live buried under the ocean.

But when the weather uproots them and lands them on the beach, fishers are quick to pounce.

The penis fish make excellent bait but are highly sought after in Asia, where they are believed to possess medicinal properties.

The creatures, which are preyed upon by larger fish, sharks, seagulls and otters, can live for up to 25 years.

In South Korea, Japan and China, the worms are eaten raw with salt and sesame oil. Their taste is described as mild and their texture similar to that of clams.
