NFC Championship game best bets

Soak in every last player prop you can get as the NFL season comes down to the end, with just two games left heading into Lions vs. 49ers on Sunday night.

The 49ers are widely expected to win this one, coming in as seven-point favorites, and the moneyline is -350 on BetMGM, the best odds on the market.

Oddsmakers projecting the 49ers to move forward to the Super Bowl 77.78 percent of the time is a wild number.

Sunday’s nightcap is expected to be a shootout, with the total coming in at 51.5, a reasonable total when looking at some of the underlying statistics.

Below, we look to beat those poor advanced stats for these struggling defensive units with a few player props and bets in 49ers vs. Lions.

The winner will play in the Super Bowl on Feb. 11, opposite the winner of Chiefs-Ravens.

Lions vs. 49ers player props and picks

Jahmyr Gibbs to score a touchdown (+145, FanDuel) | 7+ receptions (10/1, Bet365)

On the receptions side of this bet, it’s essentially your long-shot prop should the 49ers grab a big lead.

Gibbs has cleared this number twice this season, including a 35-6 drubbing at the hands of the Ravens.

Checkdowns could be the way to cashing this bet in a tough spot vs. San Francisco.

This prop is only +550 on FanDuel but Bet365 is again offering phenomenal value, making this a smash spot when targeting Gibbs.

San Francisco allowed the fifth-most receptions to running backs in the NFL this season despite being in the bottom 10 in yards allowed. That’s why we’re targeting his reception prop Sunday night.

Christian McCaffrey over 34.5 receiving yards (-110, FanDuel) | 75+ (+650, Bet365)

Another receiving prop for a running back, this time for do-it-all stud Christian McCaffrey.

While Deebo Samuel is now expected to play despite a shoulder injury, it is still McCaffrey’s offense, and he has a tasty matchup against one of the NFL’s worst groups against receiving backs.

Betting on the NFL?

The Lions are allowing the second-highest yards per target rate in the NFL against the opposition’s running back (6.57 YPT).

McCaffrey is averaging 6.5 targets in his last 10 games, bringing in 4.8 catches per game. I project McCaffrey’s receiving yards total at 42.71 given the Lions’ high yards per target rate.

So there’s still plenty of value on the McCaffrey’s over total which should hit about 60 percent of the time.
