NFL 2023 Week 7 Odds, Pro Football Picks, Tips and Betting Trends

The NFL odds and matchups for Week 7 include five division games headlined by the always exciting and entertaining AFC West showcase between the Kansas City Chiefs (5-1) and LA Chargers (2-3). Star quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert have led this high-scoring series in recent seasons with the last five meetings exceeding 50 points including a pair of 3-point wins by the Chiefs last season. The Action Network reports that the Chargers are 7-0 against the spread (ATS) as an underdog of 5 or more points with Justin Herbert at quarterback.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2) have a first place battle in the NFC South with the Atlanta Falcons (3-3). The Bucs (18 PPG) and Falcons (16.5) are in the bottom quartile of scoring in the National Football League.

Scoring was certainly a problem last week with historically low-scoring results. Game totals went 2-13 over/under, and only the Dolphins and Jaguars scored at least 27 points for the fewest in any week since the 1995 season. The 23 teams held to 20 points or fewer were the most in any week ever in the NFL. The 10 winning teams that scored 21 points or fewer were tied for the most in any week. That last happened in Week 13 of the 1993 season.

NFL game totals have gone under at a greater than 60% rate this season.
