2024 is off to a winning start for Olivia Dunne.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, the LSU gymnast, 21, posted a new selfie to commemorate “meet szn,” one day after the Tigers got their opening-night win.
“I [heart] meet szn,” Dunne captioned the snap from what appeared to be the Tigers’ dressing room.
The No. 3 ranked LSU topped No. 14 Ohio State in their season opener on Friday, 196.975-196.775.
In her season floor debut, Dunne earned a score of 9.875.
“All in all, I’m happy with the start. It was solid. We went against a very good team tonight who had nothing to lose walking in here and we had to fight our way out of a jam and I’m proud of the way we fought. That has become a hallmark of our team,” LSU gymnastics coach Jay Clark said.
Dunne, who is currently in her senior year, has been counting down to LSU’s season opener.
In an Instagram post from last week, the New Jersey native shared a pair of photos that featured her in action for the Tigers.
“There is business to be stood on,” Dunne captioned the post, adding the hashtag, “meet week Monday.”
LSU placed fourth at the NCAA Championships last April.
It’s been a wild 12 months for Dunne.
The social media sensation, who boasts more than 12 million followers between her Instagram and TikTok pages, made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut last spring, calling it a “dream” opportunity.
“Just getting the opportunity to be in SI Swimsuit was such a dream of mine and when it happened, I actually could not believe it,” she told the publication.
Dunne will be featured in the 2024 edition of the magazine, with her rookie photoshoot taking place in Portugal.
In the meantime, she and her Tigers are gearing up for the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad Meet in West Valley City, Utah, next Saturday.
