POP paedo Gary Glitter faces paying out up to £700,000 in damages to one of his victims.
The woman, aged 12 when sexually abused in the 1970s, sued after suffering years of nightmares, flashbacks and suicidal thoughts.
London’s High Court heard she is seeking £480,000 for lost earnings.
She could also get £200,000 in damages.
A psychiatrist said the abuse she suffered was the “primary and most significant cause” of her PTSD and depression.
Barrister Jonathan Metzer said: “This abuse was of the most serious kind and it has had a profound impact on my client’s life ever since.”
Glitter, 79, real name Paul Gadd, was convicted of indecent assault and having sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13 in relation to the claimant after a trial in 2015.
He did not attend the hearing or have a barrister make any representations on his behalf.
Mrs Justice Tipples retired yesterday and is due to rule in May.
Glitter was freed from jail last year after serving eight years but recalled after a Sun probe into his behaviour at a bail hostel.
