AN elderly woman has been mauled by a dog in a horror street attack.
The incident happened in Tullibody, Clackmannanshire this morning.
Emergency crews rushed to Dovecot Road in the town around 9.30am after the alarm was raised.
A woman, aged 77, had been hurt after being attacked by a dog.
The OAP was taken to hospital for treatment.
Her condition is currently not known.
The canine was seized after the attack and officers have launched a probe.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.30am on Wednesday, 20 December, we were called to a report of a 77-year-old woman having been injured by a dog on Dovecot Road, Tullibody, Alloa.
“Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
“The dog has been seized and enquiries are ongoing.”
