Peugeot has unveiled its new family-friendly 7-seater SUV — the e-5008.
Available first as a pure electric model with ranges of up to 410 miles, hybrid petrol-electric variants are to follow. In three trim levels, it’s billed as a longer and more spacious alternative to the smaller e-3008.
There are three pure-electric powertrains at launch: a 210 hp single motor with a 73 kWh battery and a range of 311 miles; a 230 hp long-range single motor with a 98 kWh battery and 410 mile range; and a powerful 320 hp dual motor all-wheel-drive version with a 73 kWh battery and 311 mile range.

To follow are two hybrids: a frugal 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol mild hybrid, and a plug-in hybrid which combines a 92kW electric motor with a 150 hp petrol engine, with an expected electric-only range of 49 miles.
Expect prices to be just over £50,000 for the fully electric models, and under £40,000 for the hybrids.
