Australia’s peak port authority has thrown its weight behind a push from DP World for Government intervention in a bitter pay dispute with workers, as local meat exporters navigate logistical headaches at the Port of Fremantle.

Ports Australia chief executive Mike Gallacher said on Tuesday it was clear the months-long blue between Dubai-headquartered shipping company DP World and its Australian employees would not be resolved in a timely manner.
