NEW YORK, March 28: In a recent legal development, the Duke of Sussex has been implicated in a $30 million (£24 million) lawsuit against renowned rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, which alleges instances of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. Combs, already facing a string of sexual assault allegations, is purported to have enticed guests to his notorious gatherings through his connections with VIPs, including “celebrities such as famous athletes, political figures, artists, musicians, and international dignitaries like British Royal, Prince Harry,” as outlined in the legal notice.
The 73-page lawsuit, initiated by record producer Rodney Jones last month, portrays the billionaire as a repeat sexual offender. Notably, there is no implication of any misconduct on the part of the prince, with his name merely cited once in the documents as an illustration of Combs’ well-known celebrity acquaintances.
The lawsuit alleges that Combs sexually assaulted Jones and orchestrated events attended by sex workers and underage girls. Furthermore, Jones claims that Combs coerced him into soliciting prostitutes and pressured him into engaging in sexual activities with them. Combs has vehemently denied these accusations, dismissing them as “pure fiction.”
In a separate legal battle, Combs faces lawsuits from three other women, coinciding with federal agents’ searches of his properties in Miami and Los Angeles earlier this week as part of an ongoing investigation. US Homeland Security has confirmed their involvement, stating that the actions were conducted in collaboration with various law enforcement partners.
This development follows a previous lawsuit filed against Combs by R&B singer Cassie, his former girlfriend, who alleged rape, drug administration, and assault over a decade-long period. Although settled swiftly, three subsequent lawsuits emerged, accusing Combs of sexual abuse or involvement in revenge pornography.
In response to these allegations, Combs released a statement in December condemning the claims as “sickening” and asserting his innocence. Known by aliases such as P Diddy and Puff Daddy, Combs has cemented his status as one of the most influential hip-hop producers and executives of the 21st century, collaborating with notable artists like Usher, Notorious BIG, and Mary J Blige.
