Princess Kate was reportedly ‘forced’ to reveal cancer diagnosis after another source threatened to leak it

The Princess of Wales’ video announcing her cancer diagnosis was rushed out by Kensington Palace after her shock health update was leaked, a Daily Mail source claims.

In a video posted to the royals’ social media pages on March 22, Kate Middleton announced she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing preventative chemotherapy.

However, a “well-placed source” from The Mail has revealed the timing of the video had nothing to do with speculation about Kate not being seen in public for months.

Instead, Kensington Palace had been contacted about Kate’s diagnosis — pressuring them to get up the announcement ahead of the story being revealed by a secondary source, the insider told the Daily Mail.

It remains unclear if the leak originated from the London Clinic (where Kate underwent abdominal surgery in January) — or somewhere else entirely.
