Radio star Fifi Box has admitted she is “officially off the market” after finding a new man she described as a “hot dad” she ran into while on school pick-up.
The 46-year-old’s new lover has been revealed as Rocky Mangano, Melbourne-based project manager for a construction company, after he was spotted at a birthday party for Box’s youngest child, Daisy.
In a video posted to the radio personality’s social media, he was seen having fun at the four-year-old’s birthday celebrations.
Earlier this month, Box revealed on her Fox 101.9 radio show Fifi, Nev and Nick that she was “officially off the market” and in a new relationship with a hunky man from her daughter’s school.
Fifi, whose last public relationship was with former Ironman Grant Kenny, told listeners: “I do have some news. I’m in a relationship! I’m not single anymore!”
The mother-of-two revealed that they met on the school run in Melbourne after making eye contact on numerous occasions and used to call him “hot dad” to her friends.
She said they never really got to talking until Daisy had a meltdown at the playground, helping the pair break the ice.
“I don’t get crushes very often but a guy piqued my interest. And he was one of the guys at school pick up. We called him hot dad,” Box said.
“I could ascertain he’s a single dad. I couldn’t figure out how to speak to him. I have my daughter Daisy to thank for that.
“She threw the mother of all tantrums, she hadn’t slept, she turned it on.
“I think I was dragging her across the playground thinking it’s so embarrassing and I looked up at him and he was laughing his head off.
“I’m officially off the market!”
Rocky, also a father of two, frequently posts photos of his outings with his son and daughter to social media, is a sports car and racing enthusiast and enjoys fine dining, travelling, boat rides and priority seating on plane rides.
Box and ex Grant Kenny dated for several months in 2012, but had broken up by the time she welcomed daughter Beatrix ‘Trixie’ Belle via IVF the following year.
