Rangers Are 1 Win Away From First-Ever Championship

The Texas Rangers are one win away from their first-ever World Series title. Riding their big bats again, the Rangers rolled over the Diamondbacks 11-7 in Game 4 to take a 3-1 series lead.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy is also one win away from his fourth World Series championship having led the San Francisco Giants to three World Series titles from 2010-2014.

Perhaps the most remarkable streak during the Rangers playoff run is their 10-0 record on the road. Texas has scored 66 runs in those 10 playoff games. But for the Rangers to capture the World Series in Game 5, they’ll have to find a way to beat the Diamondbacks best pitcher, Zac Gallen.

Game 5 – Wednesday, Nov. 1

Texas Rangers (-102) at Arizona Diamondbacks (-116), Total 8.5 runs

Major League Baseball odds from FanDuel Sportsbook refresh periodically and are subject to change, including on World Series props and live betting.

The Rangers Game 5 starting pitcher is Nathan Eovaldi, who is 4-0 with a 3.52 ERA in this year’s postseason. He’s recorded 36 strikeouts in 30.2 innings

Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen has not carried his strong regular season numbers of 17 wins, 3.47 ERA and 220 strikeouts into the postseason. Gallen is 2-2 with a 5.27 ERA and just 18 strikeouts in 27.1 innings.

Three of the four games in this World Series have gone over the total with 11, 10 and 18 runs scored in games 1, 2 and 4.

The Rangers are now -1450 to win the World Series, and the Diamondbacks +900, or 9/1.

Just six of 47 teams trailing 3-1 in a best-of-seven World Series have rallied to win, including four of 21 who had to win Games 6 and 7 on the road in the current 2-3-2 format.

Rangers ALCS Most Valuable Player Adolis Garcia missed Game 4 (strain of his obliques) and is out the rest of the World Series. He gave his team an emotional speech and lift ahead of Game 4 telling his teammates he loved them and he was confident they would win the World Series.

The Rangers are on a roll, and the odds a strong Texas will capture their first World Series title. Corey Seager (-420) will be the MVP. I’d bet it happens in front of the Rangers home fans this weekend.

Game 5 goes to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

You can bet on it.
