Redemption Whiskey And Others Shine At Sound On Sound

Last weekend I had the chance to attend Sound on Sound, a festival celebrating world class music, local cuisine, wine, craft beer and cocktails in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The two-day festival featured more than 50 food and drink vendors and many of them were local. Here are some of the best drinks we sampled:

Redemption Whiskey was in attendance with “pre-Prohibition style” rye forward whiskey cocktails, include a Redemption Old Fashioned and a Redemption Mule. The signage at their activation encouraged guests to “drink like it’s 1919” and both of these cocktails were delicious.

The bold and spicy rye whiskey gave these cocktails an edge that made them truly special. Redemption went even further with their theme with an old-fashioned photo booth that we stopped by. This activation was definitely one of the highlights of the festival!

After stopping to have some food, our next stop was the Dos Hombres truck. The drinks here, made with their smooth and flavorful Mezcal, were phenomenal. We tried a Mezcaloma, their take on a Paloma, which featured Dos Hombres Mezcal, grapefruit juice, soda and lime. The Watermelon Margarita contained Dos Hombres Mezcal, Lillet Blanc, watermelon, lime and agave.

Right before the Red Hot Chili Peppers went on, we had to stop by and visit with Josh Cellars for a glass of white and their lovely Prosecco Rosé which should be everyone’s go-to for festivals and parties. Then it was time for the music!

You can get on the list now for festival updates regarding Sound on Sound 2024. In the meantime, these three brands are all stellar choices to enjoy at home (with some Chili Peppers on).
