MORGAN HILL — Live Oak High School was locked down Tuesday following a report of gunfire, though an investigation found no evidence of a shooting, police said.
At 11:10 a.m., the Morgan Hill Police Department received a single call about four shots fired inside the school at 1505 East Main Avenue, police said in an advisory.
Officers arrived at the school within 1½ minutes of receiving the call, locked the campus down and searched the grounds until they determined no shooting had occurred, police said.
Officers found the person who made the call and were still working Tuesday to determine what led the person to believe they had heard shots at the school, police said.
