Safety officers in place to combat spike in domestic violence expected over Christmas & New Year’s

Women believed to be at the highest risk of harm from their violent partners will receive intensive, ongoing support from a new team of specialist family safety officers – including help to escape the abusive relationship.

The recently created roles – 14 in total – have been deployed ahead of the traditional spike in FDV offending over the Christmas break.
