Sara Ramirez has officially departed HBO Max’s “And Just Like That” after two seasons — and after their character Che Diaz was ruthlessly ridiculed by viewers, Variety confirms.

The Post reached out to both Ramirez, 48, and HBO Max for comment.

The exit news comes after speculation that the nonbinary actor was fired after their pro-Palestinian Instagram posts.

“While they give awards away, casting directors and agents are making blacklists of actors and workers who post anything in support of Palestinians in Gaza to ensure they will not work again,” they continued after the 2024 Emmy Awards aired. “While they lift up some of their own clients who have spoken up against this genocide, they are firing and letting others who have smaller platforms go.”

“It’s wild how performative so many in Hollywood are. Even more performative than the last character I played,” they wrote, alluding to Diaz.

However, a source close to the production revealed to the Daily Mail that the highly divisive character had always been on the chopping block.

“Sara was not fired because they support Palestine and the cease-fire,” the source told the outlet. “Sara was fired because Che brought nothing to the show anymore. After Che split with Miranda, the character really held no value anymore and fans found them annoying.”

Diaz was introduced to viewers in the first season of the “Sex and the City” spinoff as a nonbinary comedian who hosts a podcast with Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon).

Miranda ultimately left her husband, Steve Brady (David Eigenberg), for Diaz and the couple moved to L.A. so Che could film a sitcom pilot.

Che and Miranda returned for Season 2, but found themselves at odds and broke up.

Diaz last appeared in the season finale when Carrie held her “last supper” at her iconic apartment.

Audiences quickly reacted to Ramirez’s departure from the show via social media.

“We know, and we are thrilled,” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).”No offense to the performer. They should come back in an entirely different role and we can just pretend that Che Diaz never happened.”

“It was honestly time to move on from this character. Didn’t seem like they could make them work,” another fan stated.

“No loss for no one,” stated a third fan.

According to HBO Max, production of the spinoff’s third season is set to take place later this year.

In December, the streaming service quietly revealed that they are aiming for a 2025 release.
