Tennis legend Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian have welcomed their second daughter.
Ohanian confirmed the news on his Instagram account, sharing that both the 41-year-old mother and baby were “happy and healthy”.
“Welcome, Adira River Ohanian,” he wrote in a post featuring a series of family photos with the newborn.

“I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama.”
The tech entrepreneur added he was “feeling grateful.”
“@serenawilliams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT.
“Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife and our daughter. I’ll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister.”
Ohanian, the founder of tech platforms including Reddit, and Williams married in 2017.
Williams publicly shared she was expecting another baby in May at the famed Met Gala in New York City.
She posted a series of photos of herself and her husband on Instagram with the caption: “Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the three of us to the Met Gala.”
The 41-year-old confirmed the news to Gala co-host Lala Kent, saying: “There’s three of us here.”
“I’m feeling good now. I can breathe. I can stop hiding.”
Williams and Ohanian have another daughter, Olympia, 5.
After announcing the pregnancy, the tennis superstar shared a video on Instagram of Olympia learning about the pregnancy.
“Olympia does not know right now that I am pregnant, but she did call me fat and then she got really, like, stressed out,” Williams said as the video started.
“She was like ‘Mummy, you’re fat’.”
“I tried not to take it personal, ‘cause I’m, like, super into fitness, but I’m, like, ‘Uhh, am I?’.
“We’re going to tell her (about the pregnancy) and I’m really, really excited to see her reaction.”
The video continued with the family sitting on the lounge as Williams prepares for the big announcement.
“Remember how you’ve been praying for a little sister or brother?” Williams asked Olympia.
“Well, we went to the doctor, and it turns out I’m not getting fat. But I have a baby in my belly.”
Olympia’s face then lit up with joy and excitement as she replied: “What, are you kidding me?”
“You’re going to be a big sister,” Ohanian and Williams both said.
Olympia reacted with joy and reached out and hugged Williams in a beautiful family moment.
The 23-time grand slam winner last year announced she would be “evolving away” from tennis, with her focus on her family.
Her last professional match was a third-round loss to Aussie Ajla Tomljanovic at the US Open in 2022.
