Shark sighting in Jurien Bay just one day after tourist bitten in waist-deep water

Another shark has been spotted in Jurien Bay, just one day after a woman was bitten in a terrifying attack.

7NEWS footage shows the shark’s shadow lurking along the shoreline this morning.

An international tourist was attacked by a two-metre tiger shark only a day earlier in waist-deep water and was left with serious injuries to her leg.

The woman, aged in her 40s, was on a sea lion tour off Sandland Island when the shark attack occurred.

She was helped back to shore and given help by paramedics near the Jurien Bay jetty before being flown to Royal Perth Hospital by the RAC Rescue helicopter.

It is understood her condition improved from critical to stable on Tuesday.

Just last month a tiger shark was filmed in coming extremely close to shore as it hunted down a turtle in Monkey Mia.

The footage shows the tiger shark appear out of nowhere as it quickly chases a turtle to the shore.

Leighton Beach was closed at the start of January after a shark was reported just metres from the North Fremantle coastline.
