Square Metres: BrewDog’s new digs in West Perth up for sale

If you can’t own your own craft brewery, the next best option for some investors has presented itself — a building that houses one.

The Gordon Street building in West Perth is home to Brisbane brewery BrewDog, which opened in August last year.

The property is being sold as a leased investment, with the brewery currently under a 10-year lease with two 10-year options.

The site is comprised of two green title lots of 478sqm, totalling 956sqm, and has undergone several renovations including indoor and outdoor spaces, two bars, a beer garden, an arcade game and a stage for live entertainment.

The property is tenanted by one of Australia’s leading hospitality groups, Australian Venues Co, which has more than 200 venues across the country.

Sterling Property principal partner, Brian Neo, claimed demand was growing in the CBD and fringe suburbs such as West Perth.

“West Perth is rapidly becoming sought after for its proximity to the CBD — as demonstrated by hospitality heavyweight Australian Venue Co launching BrewDog at the Gordon Street site,” Mr Neo said.

“Australian Venue Co has backed the launch with a long-term lease and significant investment in upgrades.”
