Tesla chair Robyn Denholm says production tax credits would encourage critical minerals processing

The head of the word’s largest electric vehicle maker says production tax credits for refining battery minerals would put Australia back in the race to secure investment for downstream processing.

Robyn Denholm, chair of Elon Musk’s Tesla, warned the country was at risk of having rivals “leapfrog us” into capturing the most valuable parts of the battery supply chain while urging the Australian Government to act “boldly and swiftly”.
