A new study has crowned The Grounds of Alexandria in Sydney as the most popular restaurant in the world, according to a new study.
A new study from Betway analysed hashtags from over 100 restaurants around the world to calculate which were the most popular on Instagram.

“I feel like we create that nice escapism for customers,” The Gounds creative director Theresa Moussa Choker told 7NEWS.
According to Instagram, there are currently over 120,440 Instagram posts under the hashtag #thegroundsofalexandria.
“It really is a magical experience just a few minutes outside the CBD, which makes it pretty special,” travel journalist Ellie Halliwell said.
Betway used data from the number of posts under a restaurant’s hashtag to understand which are the most popular on Instagram.
The Grounds is famous for hosting intricate displays which are regularly changed, thought up months in advanced, and handcrafted on site.
The Grounds’ director Ramzey Choker say the restaurant is a rustic oasis and an escape for guests.
“It’s never a title that we went out to be,” Choker said of the honour.
“(But) it shows us that our work paid off and people love what we’re doing.”
