A CLEVER item making life easier for families heading to the beach has been described as “life changing” by those who swear by it.
One of the few downsides of a day at the seaside is coming home, completely covered in sand.

However, there are ways in which that can be avoided, including the Shakalo Sandscreen Sand Removal Bag.
The item promises to allow families to “enjoy the beach, without the hassle of the sand”.
The small bag is full of the Shakalo sandscreen formula, which removes grains of sand when rubbed against skin.
To use it, you simply need to pat the bag a couple of times to “activate” the sandscreen, before rubbing the small bag on any part of your body that’s covered in sand.
The sandscreen is safe for young children and babies to use, as well as pets, ensuring sand doesn’t end up coming back with you from your visit to the seaside.
The powder is also talc-free, as well as reef friendly, meaning it won’t harm either kids or sea animals when used at the beach.
It was designed as an alternative to using baby powder, which used to be one of the only effective ways of removing sand from skin.
After initially being put in a bottle, Shakalo realised that its powder would scatter everywhere, especially on windy days.
That led to them coming up with the sand removal bag, which keeps the powder on the user’s skin, allowing it to do its job.
