Training Minister Simone McGurk to raise cap of WA’s skilled migrant allocation at meeting with counterparts

A push to overturn the Federal Government’s decision to slash WA’s nominated skilled migrant intake by 70 per cent is set to be raised at a Perth meeting with skills ministers from across the country.

Training Minister Simone McGurk will on Friday tell her State and Territory counterparts that WA was disappointed the migrant cap was made with no prior consultation or forward planning to be reviewed.
