There might be a love story after all between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
The Chiefs star tight end finally broke his silence on rumors that he and the 12-time Grammy winner are dating during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Thursday — and doubled down on shooting his shot with Swift.
“I threw it out there,” Kelce said, referring to his previous plan to give Swift a friendship bracelet at her concert in Kansas City, which he attended.
“I threw the ball in her court. I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead [Stadium], you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one is a little more lit.
“So, we’ll see what happens in the near future,” he said, smirking, before adding his signature comment: “Alright now.”
Kelce also had a good laugh over his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, who joked during a separate appearance on ESPN’s “Pat McAfee Show” on Wednesday that he’s the Ian Rapoport of his younger sibling’s dating life.
“It’s hilarious how much traction this thing has got,” said Travis, who compared the buzz about his personal life to a game of telephone, “where everyone is whispering” to each other.
“No one actually knows what’s going on, but especially when you got Jason Kelce on live television, telling people both sides. He doesn’t know — it’s true, it’s this and that,” Travis said.
“The guy is absolutely ridiculous — can’t stay out of frickin’ headlines.”
Travis was referring to when his older brother was asked about him and Swift on “Thursday Night Football” following Philadelphia’s Thursday Night Football” victory over the Vikings last week.
The tight end also referenced Jason’s comments during an appearance on 94 WIP in Philadelphia this week when he said the dating rumors are “100 percent true.”
He later walked back his comments, clarifying that he was joking.
Although Jason issued a PSA for people to stop asking his brother about his dating life, Travis said he doesn’t hate the attention.
“It’s life baby,” he quipped.
Swift has yet to address the buzz.
