Troy Deeney has been sacked as Forest Green Rovers head coach after just six matches in charge of the League Two club.
Deeney was appointed as Forest Green boss on December 20, after the club parted company with David Horseman.
The former striker, who held the role as a player-manager, did not win any of his six games in charge of the League Two club.
Earlier on Thursday, Deeney was handed a four-game touchline ban and fined £1,500 after being sent off during the League Two fixture with Swindon Town in December.
Forest Green lost the game 2-1 with Deeney dismissed in the closing stages shortly after what proved to be the winning goal.
Under Deeney’s management, Forest Green took just three points from their six League Two matches with Saturday’s two-goal defeat at home to Harrogate Town proving to be his final game at the helm.
Deeney, 35, holds a UEFA A coaching license and joined the club this summer in a player-coach capacity following his departure from Birmingham City.
Deeney is most well-known for his playing stint at Watford, where he scored 140 goals across a decade and helped the club win promotions in 2015 and 2021.
