UConn March Madness win cashes $43,200 three-leg parlay

A wager on three powerhouses won $43,200 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The $100 bet at 431/1 odds on DraftKings came up aces, consisting of the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl, South Carolina to win the women’s NCAA Tournament and UConn to win the Men’s March Madness Tournament.

The three powers in their respective sports rolled to championship-winning seasons, with UConn being favored for most of the season and and South Carolina looking like an unstoppable force since its opening tip.

Kansas City would have been the lone hiccup in an otherwise stressless wager, but the bet was placed on Jan. 20, just after a dominant victory over the Miami Dolphins and prior to a tight win over the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the playoffs.

The uncertainty surrounding the Chiefs began to dissipate as they reached the AFC championship game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Kansas City would go on to win the Super Bowl in an overtime thriller against the San Francisco 49ers.

This weekend was the final step towards the winning wager, as UConn would roll through the competition, covering all six spreads and winning all games by double digits.

Meanwhile, the South Carolina Gamecocks massacred women’s college basketball en route to a 38-0 record and a second title in three years.

South Carolina’s perfect season might not be what’s remembered, though, as Caitlin Clark carried the Iowa Hawkeyes to the championship game but fell short of their end goal.
