UGC NET 2024 exam postponed till June 18 due to clash with UPSC Civil Services Prelims: Check official notice here

UGC NET 2024 Exam Date: The National Testing Agency has announced a postponement of the University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) exam date for July 2024 session.
The exam date, which was previously scheduled for June 16, has been shifted to June 18, due to an overlap with the Union Public Service Commission‘s Civil Services Prelims examination, which is also set for June 16, 2024.
The NTA its its notice released today, on April 29, stated, “The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in receipt of various representation from the candidates to extend the date of Examination for UGC – NET June 2024 due to UPSC CSE (Prelims) Examination – 2024 on the same date, i.e. 16 June 2024. In the interest of aspirants, the National Testing Agency has postponed the Exam date of UGC – NET June 2024 to June 16 2024.”

NTA UGC NET 2024 July Session will be held in offline mode
The NTA has made significant changes to the examination pattern for the UGC NET 2024 July session. According to the notification announcing the start of online applications, the NTA has announced that the exam for all 83 subjects will be administered in OMR Pen & Paper format.
Since December 2018, the UGC NET exam has been administered as a computer-based test (CBT). The NTA recently announced, however, that the upcoming June 2024 UGC NET exam will be held in pen and paper mode, a departure from the established CBT format. Read more in our report.
