UP Board Exams 2024: Multiple violations found during examination center inspection in Prayagraj |

PRAYAGRAJ: During inspection in seven examination centers of Prayagraj by the officials of the UP Secondary Education Board (UP Board), eight room invigilators were found without wearing their identity cards as the same was not provided by the center administrator.
Secretary UP Board, Dibyakank Shukla has taken immediate action against all such cases and has removed five center administrators and eight room invigilators.Besides, a recommendation has been made to take legal action against them.
On Thursday, 2.42 lakh candidates remained absent in the high school science, intermediate mathematics and biology examinations. Five Munna bhai (impersonators) were also caught including two each from Shahjahanpur and Pratapgarh and one in Azamgarh. An FIR has been lodged against all of them. Three students were also caught under UFM.
Himself leading a team, the Board Secretary had formed two teams to investigate the centers for the examination of High School Science in the first shift and Mathematics and Biology in the second shift of intermediate.
Shukla said that the examination in the state has been conducted fairly and without cheating.
On being asked on the claimed that the paper of second shift had leaked as it was allegedly doing rounds on the WhatsApp, Shukla said, “If a paper is floated on the WhatsApp after an hour of the commencement of the exam, how can this be termed as ‘leak’, but still we are probing the case and suitable action will be taken on whosoever had posted the paper on social media”.
Board will be conducting class 10 exam for anthropology and that of language in intermediate in the first shift on Friday. Similarly, in the second shift, NCC and intermediate anthropology examinations will be conducted.
