Consumer company Which? raised the alarm over Solar Group 123 Isofix car seat.

It said that the product could “compromise the safety of the child”.

There are fears over six batch codes – Nov-2020-6, Dec-2020-7, Jan-2021-1, Mar-2021-2, Apr-2021-3, and May-2021-4.

Those who bought the item between between February 1 and February 23 this year have been urged to stop using it immediately.

Which? has recommended worried consumers to contact the retailer to arrange a refund or replacement.

NHS Tayside shared the warning notice on social media.

It posted: “If you have this car seat check the batch number on it. If it matches the one below STOP using the car seat immediately.

“If you contact the retailer they can offer you a refund or replacement.”
