WA Police unveil two new cadet programs to attract young people after Government’s broken promise

WA Police have opened two new cadet programs in a bid to attract more young people to the police force after Police Minister Paul Papalia conceded during the week the Government would not meet its election promise to boost officer numbers by 950 by mid-2024.

The new programs include a dedicated Aboriginal Cadet Program for 17 to 25-year-olds, and another open for 17 to 19-year-olds.
