Which Indian B-schools made it to the top 250 of QS Global MBA Rankings 2024?

On October 25th, global rankings for MBA institutes 2024 were released by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the world’s leading provider of services, analytics, and insight to the higher education sector. This year, IIM Bangalore has grabbed a slot in the top 50 by securing the 48th rank. IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta are also close on the heels with ranks 53rd and 59th respectively.This year, IIM Bangalore has moved up in QS world rankings from 50th in 2023 to 48th. The other IIMs that featured in this prestigious list include IIM Indore, IIM Lucknow and IIM Udaipur. Here’s the entire list of Indian business schools that made it to the top 250 of QS global MBA Rankings 2024.

IIM Bangalore is the only Indian MBA institute to make it to the top 50 in the ‘Return on Investment’ category, where its rank is 31. It also features in the ‘Thought Leadership’ category with a rank of 57 and in the slot of best employability grabbing the 39th spot. The other Indian MBA institute that holds a position in the best employability segment is IIM Calcutta. It comes at the 46th spot. There are two Indian B-schools that made it to the top 50 list in the category ‘Entrepreneurship and Alumni Outcomes’: IIM Ahmedabad at the 33rd position and ISB at 43rd.
On the other hand, IIM Calcutta grabbed a position in the 61-70 band for its Master in Business Analytics programme. The rank of IIM Udaipur is 51+ for its MA course in Supply Chain Management.
However, the top 3 slots in the MBA table are dominated by US business schools. Stanford GSB’s MBA programme has been at the top for four years in a row till 2024. The second and third spots haven grabbed by Wharton School and Harvard Business School respectively.
