Now is currently the best time to travel to Barbados, with its weather not too hot, but also more than warm enough.

What’s more, February is also a great month for cultural celebrations with the Holetown Festival taking place.

The festival is marked by a week-long event showcased by street parades, folk singing and dancing.

Going later in the year, between June and October is risky, with hurricane season taking place during those months.

Three seaside towns to visit in winter

That’s why experts recommend visiting during dry season, between December and April, when blue skies are much more predictable.

As well as enjoying the tropical paradise beaches with white sand and turquoise seas, visitors can also make the most of the country’s special experiences.

The Mount Gay rum distillery is a favourite attraction for tourists, as are the Andromeda botanical gardens and Harrison’s Cave eco adventure park.

There’s also Crane Beach, which is the only one in Barbados to boast pink tinted sands.

A night for two in Barbados can be booked from £52.
