Larry Emdur has been left embarrassed after he revealed he “ruined” the couch at Seven’s new studio in South Eveleigh, NSW.
The 58-year-old Morning Show host said the dye from his jeans “leaked” all over the new white couch.
Announcing his mistake to Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington during a live cross, Emdur – sat alongside co-host Kylie Gillies – said: “I ruined the couch. Day three.”
“’Well, it’s a longer story but essentially because I try and save the network money all the time, I’ve got cheap jeans and they leaked,” he added.

“’Cheap jeans – don’t buy cheap jeans, kids.”
Barr and Shervington were in stiches over the incident.
Emdur pointed at the couch and added: “There’ll be wombats weeing on this in no time so don’t worry about my jeans, everyone.”
The Sunrise duo joked that Emdur should take his pants off.
“Nat wants you to take your pants off,” Shirvington said.
“I did not say that!,” Barr responded.
But Emdur’s quick-wit had them covered.
“You haven’t seen my undies yet. That could be worse!,” he replied.
The new state-of-the-art studio was to replace the old Channel Seven studio in Martin Place.
And it’s received mixed reviews, with some fans arguing it looks too “sterile”.
Shervington spoke of their new stomping ground, saying:
“We are in our brand-new home this morning, it’s quite amazing. It has a lot of inspiration from the Martin Place Brekky Central but it has some new things as well”.
