Zoo elephants to stay in Perth another year, as SA transfer delayed by hot weather and hormonal bull

The two elephants at Perth Zoo will stay for at least another year after their planned relocation had to be delayed due to “hormonal” reasons.

The move, announced after the death of beloved matriarch Tricia in 2021, will see the two Asian elephants, Permai and Putra Mas, taken from Perth to the Monarto Safari Park in South Australia.
