KUWAIT CITY, March 27: The sixteenth Ramadan session of the Kuwait Airways Workers Union and its affiliated subsidiaries concluded yesterday evening with an exhilarating final match in the futsal five-a-side tournament for the year 2024. In a showdown between the 171 team and the Shuaib Ali Shaaban team at the Martyr Fahd Al-Ahmad Hall in Daiya, the 171 team emerged victorious with a commanding 5-1 win. The event was graced by the presence of leaders from Kuwait Airways, Kuwait Aviation Services Company (KASCO), and the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Airways Workers Union and its subsidiaries, led by Dr. Ahmed Falah Al Mahawish.
Mahdi Yahya was honored with the prestigious title of the best player of the tournament, while goalkeeper Muhammad Rayhan secured the accolade for the best goalkeeper. The closing ceremony featured the distribution of various awards to the enthusiastic fans who attended the final match. Dr. Ahmed Falah Al-Mahawish expressed his delight and pride in the remarkable success achieved during the sixteenth Ramadan session of the Kuwaiti Syndicate.
He stated, “Thanks to the grace of God, the tournament has surpassed all expectations and has significantly enriched the sporting landscape of our beloved Kuwait. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated efforts of the union’s board of directors, which played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the event. We also commend the sports committee responsible for organizing the tournament, led by Abdullah Al-Tawala, for executing a comprehensive program filled with diverse activities throughout the three-day session.”
Dr. Ahmed Falah Al-Mahawish further added, “We earnestly hope that the sixteenth session of the Kuwaiti Union has not only met but exceeded the hopes, ambitions, and aspirations of the employees of Kuwait Airways and its subsidiaries.”
