t’s good news for Adam Sandler as his latest film You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah has seen him break a career record.
You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, in which the actor stars alongside his wife and two daughters, was released last Friday as part of his $350m (£199m) deal with streaming giant Netflix.
The coming-of-age comedy has now toppled sports drama Hustle to become his best-reviewed film, according to aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes.
This marks something of a turnaround for the 56-year-old, whose previous films for the stremer, including The Ridiculous 6, Sandy Wexler and Murder Mystery, were all torn apart by critics. Although he has enjoyed acclaim in arthouse efforts Punch-Drunk Love and Uncut Gems.

/ Getty Images for NetflixOn Rotten Tomatoes, his new film has a critics score of 95 percent and has seen his win some of the best reviews of his career to-date. In comparison, Hustle has 93 percent.
Following behind is The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected), which has 92 percent, Uncut Gems with 91 percent and Paul Thomas Anderson film Punch-Drunk Love (77 percent).
Audiences have a different opinion however as Hustle still holds the top spot amongst them, while You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah currently sits at 67 percent.
