Sathyabama has emerged as a leading institution and achieved excellence in higher education to the international standards through 50 Undergraduate Programmes, 25 Postgraduate programmes, Research, Technology Incubation, Product innovation in Science and Technology. The Sathyabama Centre for Advanced Studies is one of its kind in the campus that ensembles the conjunction of academic and research expertise. This state-of-the-art establishment is in a gargantuan area of 60,000 Sq.ft with total built up space of 2,40,000 Sq.ft having 360 feet facade with two courtyards one representing the academic block comprising 48 ICT enabled classrooms and advanced research facility.

Sathyabama Centre for Advanced Studies
We have collaborated with 51 international institutions and 25 national institutions. Institution distinguished itself in receiving grants from all the major research funding initiatives by MHRD including SPARC, SPARSH &, IMPRESS programme. We have received NPDF, RTF, DST-OVDF, ICMR-RA and CSIR-SRF, Korean research fellowship, through various projects.

Dr. Mariazeena Johnson, Chancellor
Dr. Mariazeena Johnson, THE NEW VISIONARY OF THIS PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITY has been working relentlessly for the human excellence in the field of education. She is a social reformer who works towards the upliftment of the socially backward, underprivileged, and needy people, providing them a better quality of life. She holds a doctorate from the University of Madras for her research on Women Entrepreneurship that focused on challenges faced by women and responsibilities in pursuing entrepreneurial ventures.
Dr. Mariazeena Johnson is a unique personality of professional excellence with compassion. An Iconic feminist who spreads women empowerment and motivates women to achieve greater heights through lot of Women Empowerment programs. She has been instrumental in developing Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology into an Inclusive Institution. She has initiated Anbu Foundation under numerous Students are benefited with full scholarship every year. Dr Johnson in association with world vision under “Support my school” project has adopted 21 Panchayat schools and 6 Villages for all round development. She has introduced Vocational courses free of cost for the school dropouts and rural youths for their upliftment.
She started a project for higher secondary school girls students; “Madugai – The Strength” in which “Health and Hygiene” kits are provided to all the girls students in nearby sub-urbs of Chennai. Her contribution extends beyond boundaries reaching out to serve the students of a country affected by civil war.
Dr. Mariazeena Johnson supports several Foundations and Trusts and sponsors daily meals to various Orphanages. She is a patron of around 30 renowned foundations & trusts. She is an ECO Warrior and a person with environmental concern who advocates Green India, Dr. Mariazeena Johnson has initiated Tree Plantation drive and has planted thousands of saplings in nearby community and continuing with the aim of planting at least 100 saplings every month.
She has established “SATHYABAMA IAS ACADEMY” for preparing Students for Civil Services and is conducting free Coaching for 1000 aspiring Students every year. She was active in launching the first Successful Student Satellite ‘SATHYABAMASAT’ developed & designed by staff & students of the Sathyabama, launched by ISRO on 22ndJune, 2016. The Team SATHYABAMASAT had an interaction with the honourable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi and was highly appreciated for the achievement.
In recognition of her services, she was selected as one among the Top 12 Women Transforming India by Niti Aayog and UN in India. She was honoured by the then President of India for being one among the 100 impactful women of India as she worked single-mindedly for the cause of education. She has also won several awards and accolades for her exemplary contribution to Education and societal development.
