Premier Roger Cook will skip two days of State Parliament next week to meet his counterparts for National Cabinet and join the Labor Party faithful at the largest political gathering in Australia.

About 2000 Labor delegates and members, MPs, unionists and observers will come together over three days at the Brisbane Convention Centre from Thursday to Saturday at the first Labor national conference held in Queensland since the 1970s.
