WA Symphony Orchestra, St George’s Cathedral Consort & Joseph Nolan play Vivaldi’s Gloria @ Perth Concert Hall

Easter came early to Perth Concert Hall on Wednesday when WA Symphony Orchestra and St George’s Cathedral Consort broke out the Gloria; a triumphal anthem missing from churches these past six weeks of Lent.

Two select ensembles under the deft direction of Joseph Nolan offered a feast beyond hot cross buns or chocolate, with a bright attack of Baroque strings, trumpet, oboe and organ in the onset of Vivaldi’s D-major setting.
